Spiced Apple Cider Sangria
Last year I shared a few cocktail recipes around the holidays and y’all really enjoyed it, so this year I knew I had to share more. This Sangria recipe is delicious and super easy to put together. I can’t take credit for the creation of this recipe though as I actually found it on Jessica Merchants Instagram (@HowSweetEats). She is an amazing Author & Food blogger and I truly love all of her recipes.
I wanted to share this post before you make your last minute grocery run for Thanksgiving.
Cocktail Ingredients:
2 apples (cut into 1/4 inch slices)
4 cinnamon sticks
1 bottle of chilled Pinot Noir (750mL)
2 cups of Apple Cider
1/2 cup orange liqueur (Grand Mariner/Cointreau)
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
For the Rim:
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 orange wedge
Instructions:
Add sliced apples & cinnamon sticks to pitcher. Pour in wine, apple cider, orange liqueur and maple syrup. Stir to combine then put in the fridge to chill for at least 30 minutes! (Honestly the longer it chills the better)
To serve, combine brown sugar & cinnamon on a plate. Run the orange slice around the rim of your cup of choice (it will stick best to a GLASS cup) - I used a stemless wine glass. Then dip the rim into the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Pour in the sangria and be sure to get some apple slices in your glass. You can also add some ice cubes if you prefer the sangria a bit more chilled, then ENJOY! Cheers, y’all!
Let me know down in the comments if you enjoyed this recipe. Also would love to hear any recipes you might want to see in the future. Hope you all have an amazing holiday however you choose to celebrate and be safe!
